SUMMARY:ERN-EuroBloodNet - Focus on von Willebrand disease for patient organisations and healthcare professionals
DESCRIPTION:The “ERN-EuroBloodNet – Topic on Focus: von Willebrand Disease (VWD) for patient organisations and healthcare professionals” programme is an educational programme for healthcare professionals and patients aimed at communicating the latest knowledge and scientific advances in the field of von Willebrand disease (VWD). \nEach session is led by a duo consisting of an expert doctor or nurse\, a psychologist and a patient representative\, who run the session together. The healthcare professional presents the subject and shares his or her clinical knowledge\, while the patient representative ensures that the information provided is contextualised and accessible to patients and their families. The programme also focuses on essential key concepts\, encouraging dialogue between patients and experts. \nIt is coordinated by ERN EuroBloodNet\, the Willebrand Disease Committee of the European Haemophilia Consortium (EHC) and patient representatives. \nThe programme consists of a series of 13 webinars from 1 February 2024 to March 2025 focusing on Willebrand Disease. It is the result of collaboration between three experts Prof Sophie Susen (Lille University Hospital\, France)\, Prof Jeroen Eikenboom (Leiden University Medical Centre\, Netherlands) and Prof Flora Peyvandi (IRCCS Ca’Granda Ospedale Maggiore Policlinico Foundation\, Milan\, Italy) and the European organisation EURORDIS. \nRegistration is open and free!
